Hello, I'm Slobodan Nesovic, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 17 years of experience. My global journey and immigrant background has deepened my empathy for the everyday battles we all face, allowing me to guide individuals through anxiety, trauma, stress, and life's pivotal transitions with compassion and insight. As someone who's navigated profound changes myself, I specialize in helping ordinary people rediscover their inner strength, find balance amid chaos, and embrace new chapters with renewed clarity and hope. If you're seeking a supportive partner to navigate these challenges, I'm here to walk alongside you on your path to emotional wholeness.
I'm here to help you heal old wounds that continue to play out in the present. Have you noticed patterns that keep repeating? Maybe you feel stuck somewhere you don't belong (in depression, relationship conflict or anxiety). I have 25 years experience working with adults, elders and adolescents. I specialize in trauma recovery, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, workplace stress and parenting support.
Hi there! Through working with me, we will be curious together on how your life experiences shape you and impact how you manage life's ups and downs. I have extensive experience in working with adults and teenagers in building insight and learning to make choices that better align with how you want to lead your life. I hope to walk alongside you on the path towards reaching your version of a fulfilling and joyful life. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and also proficient in Japanese.

I am a queer-identified, sex-positive psychologist experienced in working with a spectrum of sexual orientations, identities, and relationships. I help individuals and couples interested in discussing kink and consensual non-monogamy.
I also specialize in treating OCD (including "Pure O"), specific phobias, social anxiety, and relationship anxiety. My approach combines evidence-based exposure therapy to help reduce symptoms and break patterns of avoidance with deeper exploratory work aimed at understanding the underlying fears, beliefs, and experiences that contribute to anxiety. By addressing both the symptoms and their roots, I help clients create lasting change and greater freedom in their lives.
For individuals with OCD, I offer both Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). If ERP doesn't feel like the right fit for you, or if you're interested in an alternative approach, I-CBT can be an effective treatment that targets the reasoning processes underlying obsessive doubt.
I currently accept insurance for group therapy only and have two OCD-focused groups with openings available.
H.E.R.O.E.S. Therapy (Helping Each-other Recognize Our Extraordinary Selves) offers a fun & creative way to explore mental health through popular culture, and gain skills needed to fight the villians and monsters that haunt all of us. If you identify as a nerd, geek, introvert, outcast, weirdo, etc., I am here for you. We'll discuss favorite characters from books, movies, shows, video games, & social media. We will play alongside each other and use real-world moments to gain insight into behavior, emotions, sensations, & thoughts.
I was naturally introspective, curious about psychology and understanding my own family system. However, I did not always feel comfortable pursuing a career in the field due to the mental health stigma. I have since challenged and continue to grow in my own pursuit of breaking away from beliefs and systems that are no longer serving the person I am today. I want to help others live a thriving, full, and authentic life. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #161042) who has experience working with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have worked in the outpatient setting since becoming a therapist in 2022. I utilize an eclectic approach to meet the needs of each client and I am trained in EMDR.
I came from Denmark to California for my own therapy and healing. After working for 20+ years as an educator and creating a family, I decided to pursue the road to become a therapist. I've worked with a diverse range of people, families, ages and challenges in humanistic, person centered, emotion focused schools, in psychodynamic community clinic, in substance use recovery center running groups and in a treatment center for clients suffering from eating disorders and co-existing conditions. Working in this field continues to give me an in depth understanding of the human soul and heart that I strive to use to help others heal.
